I started working in the HIV/AIDS field as a volunteer for a non-profit Community Base Organization in 1997. After working 2 years as a volunteer the agency asked me to become an employee as a Case Manager. I started my new career in 1999 and has been doing it ever since, trying to make a difference in the lives of persons living with HIV/AIDS.

Hello my name is Janee Blackman, I started out with XTH as just a volunteer I want to say about nine years ago. The passion grew in me when I decided to make it a profession. I am the administrative assistant for XTH. Here’s a little background I started out on volunteering for a agency called Miracle of Love by filing away charts in alphabetical order at the age of nine just coming into work with my mom as the years go by, I always came in and did clerical work at the age of 14 to 16 then I just became the perfect volunteer for the agency XTH. I am passionate about sharing my love with others and allowing me to be a servant for others.
